Fence along Stream (Acrylic on Canvas 11" x 14")

When i painted this, i lived very close to the city of denver and was constantly witness to its hustle and bustle of everyday life. I wanted to paint something that would let me feel like i was far away from the city life and among the ranches that exist closer to the rocky mountains, with rickety fences that go on and on .. 
i used a dash of iridescent medium to highlight the waves in the stream. I wanted to create a window to land far away from the city noises and thats exactly what this painting is - a window to some place else.
